A heck of a night. 40 mph winds roared and left our house like a tornado, as the boat got slammed back and forth by the swells and wind. We were woken once to find another boat within feet of us that was apparently dragging their anchor and totally unaware. We pulled anchor and found more room.
The wind didn’t let up as we approached the 1:30-6:30 fishing time. We battled the 10 ft swells to make it to the area we wanted to begin fishing. Everything inside was hunkered down, now the only things swinging back and forth was us! We paid extra attention to lines and the net as they were blown in the wind. Today’s catch was 6164 lbs – about 1230 fish. I hope that wind is almost over. We anchored for the night in a sheltered area called Goose Spit with hopes of a better night sleep.
