A Thanksgiving Note From The Wild Four

A Thanksgiving Note From The Wild Four

As Thanksgiving arrives, we want to say something simple, but deeply felt in the truest Kurian way: thank you.

For 22 years, you’ve stood with our small, fishermen-owned business as we chased salmon across Bristol Bay, raised our family, and built Wild for Salmon from the deck of our very first boat, the R-J (affectionately called a “piece of junk” by our son Tommy in the video below).

Many of you have been with us since those early days. Others have joined us along the way. But every single order, every shared recipe, every conversation at a farmers market or in your inbox has helped shape who we are today. You’ve been part of this journey in ways big and small, and we feel that deeply.

This holiday, we wanted to share a piece of that beginning with you.

Our First Boat: The R-J

Watch a short video walking through our first boat, the R-J, and the story that started it all.

That humble, hardworking little boat carried more than our nets and gear. It carried our hopes for a life built around natural places, good work, and feeding families well. From those early tides grew a community rooted in stewardship, sustainable wild food, and the belief that doing things the right way still matters.

And none of it, not a single salmon fillet, would exist without your trust in us. Thank you for choosing Wild for Salmon...A full-on seafood company that still hasn't changed its name because we love salmon that much! Thank you for choosing small and fishermen-owned. Thank you for supporting a family that still does this work with our own hands and plans to pass down every part of the operation to the next generation.

From our family to yours, we’re wishing you a warm, restful, and truly delicious Thanksgiving surrounded by people you love.

With so much gratitude,

The Wild Four

Jenn, Steve, Ava & Tommy
